Rules for correction of name and date of birth of family pensioner in railway.
If the date of birth of the family pensioner is not in the Railway PPO or is wrong, or there is a mistake in the name then there is no need to worry, it can be updated very easily online sitting at home by following some rules.
For name correction
If the name of the family pensioner is wrong in the PPO then it can be corrected, for this you will have to file a complaint related to name correction on the CPENGRAMS portal of the Ministry of Railways, in which the information related to the complaint will be given, and the correct name documents like Aadhar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Pension Disbursement Bank Passbook etc. will have to be uploaded in PDF format.
For Date of birth add or correction
If the date of birth of the family pensioner is not there in the PPO or is wrong, you will still have to add or make corrections as per the date of birth on the CPENGRAMS portal and complain to the Railway Ministry, and correct date of birth documents like birth certificate ya 10th class certificate, Aadhar card have to be uploaded in PDF format.

How to file a complaint
Step 1 : Select Ministry of Railways ( Railway Board) MORLY
Step 2 : Grievance Pertains To DepartmentMinistry
Step 3 : Grievance Category Correction in PPO Name / Date of birth / Address etc . of Pensioner / Family Pensioner.
Step 4 : Enter PPO Number
Step 5 : Enter Name / Gender / Age / Email ID / Address
Step 6 : Enter Mobile Number / Type of Pension
Step 7 : Enter Bank Name / Pensioners Bank Account Number / IFSC Code
Step 8 : Detail of Grievance upto 4000 characters
Step 9 : Upload Correction related Documents In PDF file
Step 10 : Submit, then enter the SMS received on your mobile number. after that you will receive complaint registration number.
Process after filing complaint
After the complaint is lodged, your case will be sent to your railway zone, after your complaint is examined by the officer concerned, for information related to the complaint the officer will call your registered mobile number and ask for the necessary documents, If the officer finds all the information correct, the name date of birth, or address related to your complaint is corrected, which may take 15 to 45 days.
Many times the complaint lodged with incomplete information is disposed of by the officer after processing your complaint, in such a situation, you can always keep checking the status of the complaint which will keep you track of the process of your complaint.
If your complaint is closed due to any reason, you can file the complaint again with the correct information, and you can make online correction of Name, Date of Birth or Address in your PPO at home.
